Guntermann & Drunck GmbH (G&D) is a leading manufacturer of KVM solutions for numerous control room applications in the broadcast sector, in air traffic control, in the field of industrial automation and industrial process control, as well as in telecommunications, the financial sector and in maritime applications. With a wide range of KVM extenders, switches, and matrix switches for extending, switching, and distributing keyboard, video, and mouse signals, G&D offers its users the largest available KVM product portfolio on the market that is compatible and combinable with each other.
KVM products from G&D optimise IT use and improve working conditions for people and machines. The spatial separation between computer and workstation in mission-critical control rooms brings many advantages. G&D systems increase efficiency, improve ergonomics, and create increased security. KVM solutions protect sensitive data and equipment by allowing users to remotely access and control systems, minimising downtime. The sensitive computers are housed in protected server rooms for this purpose. Nevertheless, the user can operate the outsourced computer in real time and without loss of quality.
The challenge
Since G&D's KVM solutions are used in mission-critical environments such as air traffic control rooms, energy suppliers, or traffic control centres, the permanent availability of the devices is essential. For this reason, G&D relies on the power cable from TTL Network for the power supply of the devices.
