RJ45 Interface Protector
The TTLan® Interface Protector protects expensive mobile devices with LAN connection from being damaged by unintentionally pulling the network cable out of the port if its length and reach are over-estimated.
The protector is switched between port and device and releases the connection from its RJ45 interface as soon as a certain tensile force is reached. This prevents damage to the board, bent contacts or even ripping out of the RJ45 jack of the connected device.
The maximum tensile force that triggers a break in the connection is below the standard specifications for RJ45 connectors according to IEC 60603-7. This ensures that the connection between the device and the protector is first released. However, the tensile force of the protector is sufficiently high to prevent a premature release of the connection at low tensile forces.
The TTLan® Interface Protector is versatile and can be switched literally anywhere between the telecommunication port, the connection cable and the active device.
